Structural – Project Engineer
What you will be doing
- Work with senior-level Engineers and Project Managers on the preparation of Construction Documents including drawings (plans, sections, elevations, and details) and specifications
- Data compilation and evaluation, field work, and technical report writing related to specific structural projects
- Prepare structural feasibility studies, conceptual design reports, design analysis reports, and project structural design criteria
- Perform structural analysis and design
- Develop material and installation cost estimates and bills of materials
- Provide engineering support during construction
What we are looking for
- 4+ years of similar structural engineering work experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to evaluate, select and complete design solutions in order to deliver a quality design product in conformance with applicable building codes
- Effective organizational skills to design projects simultaneously, completing the work in accordance with client’s requirements/guidelines and schedules
- Proficiency in plan reviews and preparing or reviewing technical specifications, construction documents, and estimates and ensuring compliance to codes
- Effective organizational skills
- A problem solver who is thorough and attentive to details
- A proactive and deadline oriented individual
- Self starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
What educational background you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis
